Lead Internal Auditor (Inside IR35)

Contract Term:  6 months

Contracting Authority: Network Rail

Location: Hybrid- 3 days in Waterloo Station, London and the remainder working from home.

 

We are currently creating a pipeline for an upcoming opportunity for a Lead Internal Auditor to join our client Network Rail on a 6-month hybrid contract based out of Waterloo Station, London.

As a Lead Internal Auditor your main responsibilities will be:

 

  • Lead the Audit Team and execute the audit programme following the objectives set by and under the supervision of the Audit Manager
  • Deliver audits according to the scope and time estimate in the agreed Terms of Reference (ToR).
  • Prepare the draft ToR, the Audit Programme and the Audit Report.
  • Review the audit work carried out by the Audit Team to confirm that Auditors properly conclude on the work performed.
  • Coach and train Audit Team
  • Maintain constructive working relationships with Auditee.

 

 

 

Essential:

 

  • Professional qualification qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or IIA or Operational experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills written and verbal, including report writing.
  • Ability to be a team player and to take the lead when appropriate.
  • Good problem solving, decision making and analytical skills.
  • Flexibility of approach, style and attitude

 

Desirable:

 

  • Experience within at least two different disciplines within Network Rail
  • Risk management experience.
  • Controls and assurance experience
